Dornier Do24K
Now available the Scalemodel of the Do 24K, a Trimotor waterplane build by Dornier Germany and in licence by Aviolanda in Papendrecht, Netherlands. This airplane is used by the Dutch MLD right before and during WW2 in Netherlands Indië.
The model has scale 1:10 so the wingspan will be 270cm, fuzelage length 220 approx. For this design Bart did lots of prework to make the model as scale as possible. He got his hands on copy of the original plans and manuals.
The design is made with light construction from mainly lasercut ply and Balsa so strength is very good. Fuze will be build as "half fuze" with vertical cut so the model will be straight build easily.
During 2016 we had started the prebuild of 2 prototype models, these and others fly meanwhile all over the world and we are pritty satisfied about the model, weight and construction.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates about this model.
